The primary purpose of this website is to facilitate communication with interested parties so they may participate in SGMA implementation, including development of a GSP.
SYRWCD: Coordinator for SGMA Grants in the Santa Ynez River Valley Groundwater Basin
Santa Ynez River Water Conservation District (SYRWCD) participates in SGMA efforts for all three management areas of the Basin. SYRWCD is the main Basin contact for Department of Water Resources and secured a Proposition 1 Grant Award of $1 million, a Proposition 68 Grant Award of $296,000, and a Proposition 68 GSP Implementation Grant Award of $5.5 million to help fund the SGMA efforts in the Basin.
